Our New Place!

When we first found out we would be moving to Colorado we decided that we would move in to the apartment complex that my sister-in-law and her husband had previously lived in.  The only downfall was that it is located in Westminster, which is about 30 minutes away from all of the hospitals that Andrew will be working at.  The fact is, Andrew did not want to be in a car for hours after being at the hospital all day.  He was very determined to find an apartment that was closer to the hospitals as well as the city... and he found one!! Our new apartment is located in Denver, CO in what they call the Cherry Creek area, which is only about 10 min to each hospital without having to get on the highway.

The apartment is a BRAND NEW (as in, never lived in!!!) 3 bed/ 3 bath townhome.  We will have a two car garage so that way we won't have to worry about those cold days and our windshields being covered with ice! It also features stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, and vaulted ceilings.

We will be located only a few feet from restaurants such as The Spicy Pickle , Starbucks, Snooze, and one of Andrew's favorites...the Cherry Cricket.

It is also only blocks from the Cherry Creek Mall (Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Anthropologie, Michael Kors... this could be trouble), Cheeseman & City Park, the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, and only minutes from Downtown!

Green & White... Our New Guest Room

So the one main thing we have been lacking in our current apartment is a functional guest room.  Our current second bedroom consists of two large desks, a bookcase, an old dresser, and more random things that we have compiled over the years.  Our new place however, has a separate office and guest bedroom so I have really gotten excited about decorating it! I will be using my old bed from college and an old dresser that my grandmother gave me.  I have decided on Green and White as my theme.  Here is a preview of what I have purchased so far...
Quilt (the green is a lot greener than it looks in the picture)

New Shower Curtain

Pillow to go on guest bed

I think we may hang this in the bathroom or downstairs

Curtains for Guest Room

Keeping with the Green and White theme, I purchased these napkins at Stein Mart for the dining room! So Excited!

I also have some pictures of items I found at Target that I may or may not go back and get.  I will try and post them tomorrow so that I can get everyones feedback.

Have a great night!

Packing... Oh how I hate thee!

Hello Everyone! Here is my first blog post, and it's a doozy! This week marked my last week of finals in college...Final-ly! Instead of celebrating I have been stuck at home with a horrible sinus infection! My plan was to start organizing and packing up our apartment for our big move on June 6th but instead i have been laid out on the couch, watching whatever is on E!, and building up a massive pile of tissues beside me.  Fortunately, I felt a little better this morning and have started to organize some of our office.  Our main task: discard or sell all of our textbooks from over the past eight years! For some reason, we kept most of our books from college and now we are finally getting rid of them.  Next, I plan on tackling the kitchen and getting rid of any miscellaneous dishes that we have acquired over the past few years.  If anyone has any organizational advice please send it my way... my husband and I have become minor hoarders and need any help we can get!

Hopefully my next post will consist of much progress! I will keep you updated!
